What Actually Happens in an Executive Coaching Session (and What I'm Not)

No couch, no motivational quotes — and no report that ends up in a drawer.

What actually happens in an executive coaching session? Before I answer, it's worth saying what this work is not.

I'm not a consultant. I'm not a mentor. And I'm definitely not a therapist. A consultant hands you a report and leaves — the execution stays with you. A mentor tells you what worked for him — in his company, at his stage. My work is different: I expand YOUR capacity to make decisions, across strategy and psychology. And in the end, you don't become dependent on me. You become more capable.

The session. No couch, no motivational quotes. One hour of structured thinking about YOUR business, on two levels: the mental pattern behind the decision you've been avoiding — and the decision itself. You walk in with a tangled problem and walk out with clarity, next steps, and deadlines. Decisions, not just notes. That's what a good session delivers.

How it starts. Our first conversation isn't a session — it's an honest assessment, on both sides, of whether this partnership makes sense. In that hour, I'll listen to where you are and what you're facing, and I'll show you how my method works. If it's a fit, we design the work together. If it's not, you'll leave knowing exactly why — and that's clarity, too.

Want that for yourself? Schedule your conversation — it takes a minute.
